Job summary

Lyntris in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead design and integration of Cisco-based networks across the government and defense sectors. You will work with US Government network engineers, plan LAN/WAN architectures, and drive secure, reliable connectivity for critical missions.

This full-time role requires an active clearance and hands-on expertise in Cisco devices, routing protocols, and security tooling. VMware and COMSEC experience valued.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. national security clearance required.
• 7–10 years in Network Engineering with Cisco devices.
• Design, implement and maintain complex Cisco-based networks.
• Experience with TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN/mGRE.
• Document network designs and perform site surveys.
• VMware experience and COMSEC familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead network design process and manage existing networks.
• Collaborate with US Government network engineers and Cyber/IA.
• Analyze and administer LAN/WAN architectures.
• Troubleshoot to restore service and find root cause.
• Develop and integrate Cisco products in a sandbox.
• Design and implement complex solutions.
• Evaluate security products for integration of management/monitoring.
• Provide networking SME guidance to engineers and IT staff.
