Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner/Project Manager to support the Mining Team in the Mountain West on a remote basis. You will manage federal/state NEPA compliance, coordinate with government and private clients, and lead teams delivering NEPA documents and permitting deliverables.

The role requires a 6+ year track record in environmental reviews and mine permitting, with strong project management skills and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical science, natural science, policy, economics, environmental science, or related disciplines.
• 6+ years of experience with national/state/local-level environmental reviews, mine permitting, or NEPA project management.
• Master’s degree in physical science, natural science, policy, economics, environmental science preferred.
• 4+ years of experience managing/preparing NEPA documents or environmental permitting.
• Recent working experience with the Bureau of Land Management and/or U.S. Forest Service regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Management and review of federal, state, and local permitting and NEPA compliance for mining and energy projects.
• Serve as a primary point of contact with local, state, and federal government clients, and private sector clients such as mining companies and engineering firms.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams tasked with preparing NEPA documents, conducting research, preparing technical documents and deliverables.
