Job summary

Quora is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join the Ads ML team as an ads ranking specialist. You will own models from data pipelines to deployment, improving CTR and CVR calibrations and user representations in a remote-first setting.

You will collaborate with product, data science, and engineering to define ranking objectives, design experiments, and measure impact on advertiser value and user experience. This role offers global scope and flexible work locations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience in machine learning.
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying ads ranking models at scale, including CTR or CVR prediction and calibration.
• Experience evaluating ranking models through offline analysis and online experiments.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, or data analysis.
• Strong Python programming skills and production ML code.
• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve ads ranking models, including prediction objectives and feature interactions.
• Take end-to-end ownership of ML systems from data pipelines to production deployment.
• Evaluate advances in deep learning and recommendation modeling within production constraints.
• Collaborate with ML platform and product engineers to build scalable ML systems.
• Partner with product, data science and engineering teams to define ranking objectives and run A/B tests.
• Identify opportunities to apply ML to other parts of the Ads product.
