You will develop long-term and short-term mine plans, create 3D geological models, and optimize layouts using Deswik, Vulcan, or Surpac. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in mine planning, strong geological interpretation skills, and excels at remote teamwork and communication under dynamic project objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in mine planning and design.
• Advanced proficiency with mine planning software (Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac).
• Strong understanding of geological modeling principles and data interpretation.
• Experience with open-pit and/or underground mining methods.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize long-term and short-term mine plans, considering geological, geotechnical, and economic factors.
• Create and refine detailed 3D geological models and mine layouts using specialized software.
• Perform mine design and scheduling, including open pit optimization and underground mine layouts.
• Conduct economic evaluations and sensitivity analyses for proposed mine plans.
• Collaborate closely with site teams to ensure plans are practical and achievable.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for mine planning initiatives.
• Stay abreast of advancements in mine planning technology and methodologies.
