Qualifications

• Minimum 85% on coding assessment (high proficiency).
• Expert level reading medical records to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG.
• Strong team development, critical thinking, organization and communication.
• Knowledge in revenue cycle operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient coding quality audits (scheduled and random) and provide feedback to staff.
• Educate providers and staff on documentation practices to improve accuracy.
• Lead collaborative problem-solving and develop query policies for compliance.
• Mentor and onboard new staff; communicate trends to leadership.
