Job summary

Waterton is seeking a Senior Manager of Centralized Screening to oversee nationwide applicant screening operations across our portfolio. You will lead a team to ensure consistent standards, compliance, fraud prevention, income verification, and decisioning workflows.

The role requires strategic oversight, performance coaching, and the optimization of screening tech platforms and vendor partnerships to support occupancy, leasing, and resident quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in property management.
• Familiarity with Yardi, Office tools and BI platforms is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and drive improvements.
• Strong initiative and willingness to improve systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversees portfolio-wide centralized screening operations for all assigned communities.
• Leads the Assistant Manager and Centralized Screening Specialists with coaching and performance management.
• Establishes standardized screening processes, workflows, and operating procedures.
• Ensures timely review of screening, income verification, fraud detection, and results follow-up.
• Monitors workload, staffing capacity, and service level performance.
• Develops KPIs and conducts trend analysis for improvements and risk mitigation.
• Oversees quality assurance and auditing to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Leads implementation and optimization of screening technology platforms and vendor partnerships.
