Job summary

The Association of American Medical Colleges is seeking a Manager, Business Development & Engagement to lead Customer Engagement for the Careers Exploration Services portfolio, including CiM and VSLO. You will drive sales strategies, manage a regional team, and partner across Product, Operations, Marketing, and Analytics to grow adoption and revenue.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Higher Education, Public Administration, or related field.
• 8–10 years of related work experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience managing customer relationships, account portfolios, or business development programs.
• Experience supervising staff and managing performance.
• Experience developing sales forecasts and business growth plans.
• Experience presenting products and services to executive-level stakeholders.
• Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop CES sales strategies to drive acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
• Translate objectives into territory plans and measurable activities.
• Monitor pipeline health and take corrective actions as needed.
• Partner with leadership on revenue projections and market expansion.
• Support sponsorship, advertising, and partnership revenue growth.
• Craft territory strategies and customer segmentation.
• Oversee portfolio performance and engagement strategies.
• Provide coaching and development to staff.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and marketing to align customer insights.
• Oversee Salesforce usage and forecasting processes.
• Establish KPIs for customer engagement, revenue, and retention.
