Job summary

Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) in Anchorage seeks a Senior Manager, Accounting to lead financial reporting across subsidiaries and meet GAAP, FAR, and CAS standards.

You will manage monthly closes, consolidations, audits, budgeting, system implementations (CostPoint, Workday, Adaptive), and supervise staff, driving process improvements in a shared services environment. Role includes remote schedule for candidates outside Alaska, with travel to the corporate office as needed and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or business-related field.
• Six years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
• Government contractor accounting experience preferred.
• Two years’ supervisory experience.
• CPA license holder/candidate preferred.
• Ability to pass a background screening.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close process and ensure costs are properly recorded.
• Oversee consolidations across divisions and subsidiaries for GAAP compliance.
• Lead annual budget development and prepare audit materials.
• Provide leadership for accounting software implementations and post-implementation support.
• Guide staff development and maintain strong internal controls.
• Collaborate with divisions to improve processes and reporting quality.
