Job summary

Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting to lead the accounting team’s close, consolidation, and reporting functions across multiple segments.

This role focuses on GAAP compliance, policy development, and effective leadership of staff within a shared services framework. The position is based in Anchorage, AK, with a fully remote schedule for candidates living outside Alaska, and travel to the corporate office may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Six years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting and government contractor experience preferred.
• CPA license holder or candidate preferred.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to pass a background screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close processes with accurate cost recording and reconciliations.
• Oversee consolidation across divisions/subsidiaries and GAAP/FAR/CAS adherence.
• Manage general ledger, reporting, and budgeting tools and software.
• Develop accounting policies and drive process improvements.
• Lead onboarding of acquired entities into financial reporting.
• Provide post-implementation support for accounting software and user training.
• Direct annual budget compilation with divisions and subsidiaries.
• Oversee annual audit processes and prepare supporting schedules.
