Job summary
Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support core banking applications, including Deposits, Loans, Customer & Account Management, General Ledger, and Tax systems. You will work with COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and batch processing in a modern mainframe environment.
The role offers remote work with flexible arrangements for qualified applicants in the United States.
Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on mainframe app development with COBOL, JCL, VSAM
- Core Banking domain experience incl. deposits, loans, GL, tax
- Experience with Endevor, Xpediter, Easytrieve
- Knowledge of CICS and IMS preferred
- Ability to analyze requirements and support deployments in banking
- Experience with banking core platform is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain mainframe apps for core banking operations.
- Analyze requirements and translate to mainframe solutions.
- Develop and support batch jobs using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and related tech.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in production.
- Collaborate with analysts, architects, testers, and stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, SIT/UAT support, and deployments.
