Job summary
Cognizant Technology Solutions Corporation is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to strengthen core banking systems, including Deposits, Loans, Customer & Account Management, General Ledger and Tax.
You will design, develop, test and maintain COBOL-based mainframe apps, perform batch processing with JCL/VSAM, and collaborate with analysts, architects and QA to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. Remote-friendly US-wide.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development with COBOL/JCL/VSAM.
- Strong Core Banking experience: Deposits, Loans, Customer & Account Management, GL, Tax.
- Experience with mainframe tools such as Endevor, Xpediter, Easytrieve.
- Knowledge of CICS and IMS preferred.
- Experience with banking-platforms such as FIS Systematics is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain mainframe apps for core banking operations.
- Analyze requirements and translate into mainframe solutions.
- Develop and support batch jobs using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and related tools.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve defects; provide production support.
- Collaborate with analysts, architects, testers and stakeholders on enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews and SIT/UAT deployments.
