Job summary

Corebridge Financial is seeking a Sr. Underwriting Consultant to assess medical and financial risk for individual life insurance applications. You will work within a customer‑centric team to deliver accurate underwriting decisions, balancing risk with sales support.

This remote role requires 5+ years in life underwriting, expertise with large face amount cases, and able to operate with approval authority up to $5,000,000. FLMI/FALU/CLU designations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Underwrite life insurance applications with focus on customer experience.
• Assess medical and financial risk according to company guidelines.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with customers.
• Experience handling large face amount cases within approval authority.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex formal applications and informal quotes within guidelines.
• Analyze information to form comprehensive medical/financial assessments.
• Manage change and negotiate positive results.
• Take a cross-functional view of work processes and understand implications for other areas.
• Be organized and able to manage a large caseload.
• Demonstrate underwriting knowledge and skills.
• Provide training on underwriting topics to internal/external customers.
• Interact with field force dealing with upscale markets.
