Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr. Java Full Stack Engineer to lead design and development of next-generation electronic trading systems.

You will architect distributed, event-driven platforms optimized for low latency and high throughput, mentor engineers, and drive platform performance across production and non-production environments. This remote contract role requires hands-on expertise in Java, Python, Kafka, FIX, and cloud deployments.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of hands-on software design and development experience.
• Expertise in Java, Python, and Linux.
• Deep experience with low latency messaging systems such as 29West or Kafka.
• Proficiency in KDB+ or other time-series databases.
• Background in building scalable, distributed, asynchronous, and event-driven applications.
• Advanced knowledge of low latency design patterns and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with Capital Markets or Brokerage systems, especially order management.
• Solid understanding of the FIX protocol and FIX engines.
• Experience with AI developer assist tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy.
• Hands-on experience deploying applications to AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to support production systems and participate in on-call rotations, including occasional weekend support.
