Job summary

Tradeweb Markets is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to write production code daily, optimize hot paths, and design new algorithmic components for low-latency trading infrastructure. You will own the algo pipeline and contribute across market-data ingest, strategy decisioning, and order routing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production Java systems with latency-sensitive trading infrastructure.
• Proven JVM optimization for microsecond-to-low-millisecond latency budgets.
• Deep experience with high-performance messaging and IPC and binary wire formats.
• Production FIX experience across multiple FIX versions with a Java FIX engine.
• Experience with time-series market-data systems and CEP for strategy hosting.

Responsibilities

• Own latency and throughput end-to-end from market-data ingest through gateway egress.
• Design and implement new algorithmic order types and synthetic multi-leg logic.
• Profile and tune the JVM hot path and manage GC behavior and concurrency.
• Operate the algo pipeline including backtesting, certification, and shadow-trading.
• Partner with in-house quant team to translate signals into production-grade code.
• Maintain venue connectivity with FIX gateways and exchange integrations.
• Modernize legacy services from Java 8 to current LTS without disruption.
