Job summary

PMG Global, Inc. seeks a Sr. Java Full Stack Engineer in Jersey City to own software design and development for high-performance trading platforms. You will design and implement scalable Java services, REST APIs, and low-latency messaging components within a distributed environment.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, expertise in Java/Spring Boot, AWS deployment, and strong communication skills. Familiarity with FIX engines and KDB+ is a plus; on-call and weekend support may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IT or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on software design and development experience.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
• Strong knowledge of FIX Protocol and FIX engines.
• Hands-on experience with KDB+ is highly preferred.
• Experience with low-latency messaging systems such as Kafka or 29West.
• Strong experience building scalable, distributed, asynchronous, and event-driven applications.
• Experience with AWS cloud deployment.
• Proficiency in Python and Linux.
• Capital Markets, Brokerage, electronic trading, or order management experience is preferred.
• Experience with GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, uDeploy, and CI/CD practices.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and occasional weekend support.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
