Job summary

Progressive is seeking an IT systems engineer senior/lead on the Managed File Transfer team to ensure secure, reliable file movement with trading partners. You will set up, maintain, and troubleshoot transfers and support audit/compliance documentation.

This is a remote role with occasional travel to an office for meetings or training. Minimum five years in IT with OS hardware/software in large environments; associate degree or higher in IT/math and strong scripting, Linux, cloud/containers

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures and operating systems.
• Associate's degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline, Math, or other related field of study and minimum of 4 years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in a large IT environment with many categories of devices, infrastructures, and operating systems.
• Experience with FTP protocols, Linux, scripting, and cloud/containers; strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot file transfers while supporting systems, tools, and environments for MFT operations.
• Collaborate with peers, internal customers, and external trading partners to ensure secure, reliable file movement.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support project integration testing and critical business operations.
