Job summary

Onyx Point, LLC. is seeking a network engineer with an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph and U.S. citizenship to support critical campus or system networks.

Candidates should be familiar with Arista, Aruba, Plexxi, F5 load balancers and Dell networking devices, and able to meet STIG/Security mandates while coordinating multi-site projects. Experience with monitoring tools (CloudVision, MFNA, WhatsUp Gold) is required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 15 years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma with 20 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, plans & oversees the implementation of voice, data, & video communication cabling and hardware to support campus or system-wide networks.
• Customize design, installation and processes to account for unique customer requirements within ITS and industry standards.
• Troubleshoots and resolves network issues across multiple remote locations and international links.
• Collaborates with senior IT staff, management and external vendors to collect requirements and complete projects.
• Participates in security procedures to mitigate network intrusions and incidents.
• Creates and updates network and customer documentation with standard procedures.
• Manages large, complex projects coordinating internal staff, contractors, and suppliers.
• Coordinates notification of planned outages with local and external organizations.
• Conducts site surveys and collects customer requirements for complex network design and problem resolution.
• Designs interconnection and integration based on customer, carrier and backbone network requirements.
