Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, high-risk IT initiatives across MES, ERP, and enterprise systems. The role demands hands-on leadership, PMO governance, and strong stakeholder collaboration to deliver on time and within scope.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 10+ years of IT project management experience, and the ability to obtain a DOE clearance. Remote work options available across VA, OH, TN, and IN with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10+ years IT project management experience delivering complex projects.
• Expertise in MES applications and Solumina.
• Strong understanding of project, portfolio, and organizational change management.
• Ability to define requirements, design solutions, and streamline processes.
• Proven risk, issue, scope, and schedule management.
• Strong vendor management, budgeting, and contract negotiation skills.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office/SharePoint/Visio.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communications.
• U.S. citizen and ability to obtain DOE clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-risk IT projects across manufacturing/ERP/enterprise systems.
• Develop strategy, scope, schedules, and cost baselines.
• Manage budgets, vendors, and contract negotiations; ROI development.
• Maintain schedules and documentation using PM tools; SharePoint sites.
• Mitigate risks, issues, and change controls; report status to PMO and executives.
• Ensure adherence to PMO standards and governance; facilitate cross-functional meetings.
• Define requirements and future-state processes; support testing and QA.
• Coordinate with external partners and integrators for successful execution.
