Job summary

Maximus is seeking an experienced Delivery Leader to oversee the development, maintenance, testing, and implementation of a large-scale healthcare system for State Medicaid clients. This role provides delivery leadership across multiple teams and ensures high-quality, compliant solutions for a COTS product.

The position is fully remote with travel up to 25%. You will partner with managers, business analysts, developers, testers, and operations to ensure successful onboarding of new Medicaid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software delivery experience with 5+ years in technical leadership or management roles.
• Proven experience overseeing delivery for enterprise healthcare systems, preferably Medicaid-related.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience managing and supporting matrixed teams.
• Advanced knowledge of project management tools.
• Familiarity with SDLC, release and change management, and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point of contact and client interface for project technology related issues.
• Manage project expectations, evaluate project needs, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure program needs are met with urgency and priority.
• Develop trust, credibility, and strong client relationships; seek opportunities to add value to client initiatives.
• Review all project deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy meet standards.
• Lead and direct delivery of application development, systems integration, infrastructure, and product installation services.
• Define and implement development plans for assigned projects.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to staff.
• Ensure staff is knowledgeable on applications and technologies in use.
• Coordinate and manage technical presentations and demonstrations to stakeholders.
• Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of a COTS healthcare system serving Medicaid clients.
• Provide direction for multiple teams through collaboration with managers.
• Define, implement, and maintain development processes and delivery standards.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC, release management, and QA processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery practices.
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
