Cummins Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Law to join our global legal team. This remote role supports patent prosecution and IP strategy across jurisdictions, collaborating with engineers and business partners worldwide.

Based in Indianapolis, IN with some travel to Columbus, IN, you will guide complex matters, supervise outside counsel, and help shape our intellectual property program while aligning with Cummins' innovative engine technology portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Material Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
• Export controls/sanctions compliance licensing may be required.
• Significant level of work experience including team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage patent prosecution and participate in IP strategy development.
• Participate in internal IP committees and disclosure interviews.
• Advise senior leaders and coordinate with stakeholders to implement improvements.
• Supervise outside counsel and manage relationships on global matters.
• Collaborate with engineering and business units to align priorities and resolve issues.
