Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a summer Legal Intern to support Corporate Business in Indianapolis, IN and/or remote home office. You will gain exposure to IP, Commercial Transactions, Litigation, Labor and Employment, and Cybersecurity through mentorship and varied projects.

As a law student, you will perform legal research, draft contracts, attend negotiations and client meetings, and lead process improvements while advancing your legal interests in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Current law student enrolled in an ABA approved law school.
• Full-time enrolled student eligible for summer internship.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform legal research and analysis
• Draft contracts using templates and established Cummins procedures
• Attend commercial negotiations, mediations, and client meetings
• Lead legal projects and process improvements
• Examine legal data to determine strategies
• Analyze potential outcomes of cases, legislation, and regulation
