Job summary

Motive is seeking an Internal Communications Director to lead how we inform, align, and inspire employees nationwide from a remote-USA base. You’ll own Motive’s internal narrative, shape cadence, and translate strategy into clear messaging for multi-channel delivery, including All Hands, video updates, and executive communications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in internal, corporate, or executive communications
• Proven experience producing All Hands and executive forums
• Hands-on experience building video communications and multi-channel engagement programs
• Strong executive presence and ability to advise C-suite
• Storytelling and writing skills for translating priorities into clear messaging
• Experience with crisis/change communications in partnership with Legal and Corporate Communications
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field; advanced degree a plus
• Comfort using AI-enabled tools to support messaging development and analyses

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and execution of Motive’s internal communications program
• Lead planning, narrative, and production for All Hands and company-wide forums
• Build and grow internal video communications and storytelling content
• Continuously evolve channel mix and cadence beyond one-off announcements
• Own internal channels (Slack, email, video) with precise targeting
• Draft and refine executive communications for CEO and leadership
• Partner with Corporate Communications, Legal, and People teams on plans for sensitive announcements
• Ensure internal-first alignment and consistency across channels
• Develop feedback mechanisms to measure sentiment and effectiveness
• Build relationships with executives and cross-functional leaders as trusted advisor
