Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company seeks a Senior Specialist in Business Insights to extract and manipulate internal and external data, perform diagnostic and inferential analyses, and deliver actionable insights to business partners. You will work with stakeholders to define needs and develop statistical and visual solutions using BI tools.

You’ll lead data extraction, modeling, and reporting efforts, collaborating across teams to ensure data quality and drive informed decision making.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of related experience with data extraction, data manipulation, data visualization analysis, and problem solving; working with large database.
• Experience in insurance or financial services preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BI tools and data governance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Insight Generation using SQL, Excel, R, Python to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Reporting & Dashboard Development with Power BI; build enterprise-grade dashboards and scalable data models from Snowflake.
• Data Management & Governance alignment with data governance and engineering teams; ensure data quality and documentation.
• Business Consultation & Cross-Functional Collaboration; lead requirements gathering and translate needs into analytical deliverables.
• Continuous Improvement & Automation; improve reporting efficiency and standardize templates; explore AI-driven use cases.
