Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Sr Data/BI Analyst for its Life Business Insights team to tackle complex reporting, build scalable data solutions, and translate data into actionable insights.

You will partner with internal stakeholders to turn data into decisions and learn modern analytics tools shaping Nationwide's analytics future in Life Insurance.

Location: Grandview, OH; work arrangement includes 2 days in office and 3 days remote under a SuccessFlex model, within 35 miles of Grandview OH.

Qualifications

• SQL: working experience with data extraction and manipulation.
• Tableau or Power BI: experience building and maintaining data visualizations and dashboards.
• Python: for advanced analytics and automation (preferred).
• Snowflake: experience with cloud data warehousing (preferred).
• Dataiku: familiarity with the platform (a strong differentiator).

Responsibilities

• Partners with internal customers in determining data and information needs that will aid them in business decisions.
• Develops, produces and maintains ad hoc and custom reports for a functional area.
• Analyzes information in reports and uses data access tools to pull information for reports.
• Plans and supports information project needs, special reporting and new technology.
• Maintains the integrity of information in internal databases.
• Retrieves data from internal and external sources to keep databases current.
• Exports information to external sources.
• Shares reports and information with appropriate areas of the company.
• Supports research, analysis and presentation of information with reports and exhibits.
