Insight Global is seeking a Senior Inpatient Coder to support a fully remote, Level I Trauma environment. Candidates should have an active CCS and robust experience coding complex oncology and trauma inpatient cases.

The role emphasizes accuracy, critical thinking, and attention to detail, with training periods conducted during standard business hours to ensure smooth pre-bill processes.

Qualifications

• Active CCS certification required.
• Minimum 3 years inpatient coding experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Recent Level I Trauma inpatient coding experience preferred (within 6–12 months).
• Strong oncology and surgical oncology coding experience.
• Experience coding complex, high-acuity inpatient cases.
• Proficient with 3M coding system.
• Solid understanding of secondary diagnoses and comorbidities.
• Ability to complete coding assessment during interview.
• Availability for standard business hours during training/pre-bill.

Responsibilities

• Review and code highly complex inpatient records.
• Accurately assign diagnoses and procedures per guidelines.
• Code complex oncology, surgical oncology, transplant, and Level I Trauma cases.
• Capture secondary diagnoses and comorbidities accurately.
• Participate in pre-bill quality reviews and audits.
