Job summary

Planet is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to make our infrastructure easier to use. You will own engagements end-to-end, diagnose and fix complex problems, and drive upstream changes while delivering durable artifacts that scale across teams.

The role is full-time and remote, based in Germany, the Netherlands, or Slovenia, with potential office days if nearby. You’ll work with Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, and CI/CD to improve production systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE with cross‑team migration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience enabling developer productivity and internal platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical engagements with engineering teams to diagnose and resolve infrastructure challenges.
• Execute critical migrations with reference implementations and tooling.
• Accelerate platform adoption as the primary technical contact for new teams.
• Establish standardized, paved‑road infrastructure offerings.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and Helm charts for common patterns.
• Enhance platform observability with instrumentation and cost visibility.
• Inform platform strategy from engineering feedback and pain points.
