Job summary

Topstep is seeking a Senior Trader Onboarding Analyst within the Trust & Resilience organization to evaluate complex identity risk profiles and enforce CIP compliance across global trader pathways.

You will act as a primary risk decision-maker on the advanced multi-signal IDV platform, analyzing biometric integrity, device/IP anomalies, tax docs, and sanctions data to disposition low-to-medium risk accounts and hand off high-risk cases to peers.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years fintech compliance or identity risk experience.
• Hands-on experience analyzing identity risk signals in modern orchestration platforms (Persona/Jumio/Veriff/Onfido).
• CIP/KYC frameworks, OFAC sanctions, and international tax documentation knowledge.
• Ability to exercise independent analytical judgment in non-routine risk scenarios.
• Ability to evaluate operational metrics and optimize workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate multi-variable risk signals within the IDV platform and make binding disposition decisions for low-to-medium risk profiles.
• Authorize, restrict, or deny platform access based on risk, without routine manager sign-off.
• Interpret non-routine tax documents (W-8/W-9) and multi-jurisdictional eligibility records for payout approval.
• Conduct background reviews on sanctions, PEP, and OFAC alerts; differentiate false positives from liabilities.
• Prepare structured handoffs for Tier-2 escalation to High Risk Analysts.
