Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team handling high‑voltage transmission projects. The role focuses on HV/EHV overhead and underground systems, applying NESC, ASCE, and ACI standards while coordinating with clients and project teams.

The position is 100% remote with Michigan residency required to be considered; travel may be required. You will lead designs, prepare bidding documents, and develop scopes, budgets, and proposals for utility clients.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and at least five years of experience in electric utility transmission design.
• Experience reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models, foundations, materials, and construction packages.
• Knowledge of NESC/ASCE/ACI/ASCE code requirements and material procurement processes; ability to develop scopes, budgets and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Design electric transmission line projects for HV and EHV overhead and underground systems.
• Apply applicable standards in engineering and design; prepare bidding documents and construction packages.
• Prepare plans/specifications and procurement/construction documentation; interface with clients and teams.
