Job summary

CarePlus Health Plans is seeking a Senior Hospital Contracting Strategist to initiate, negotiate, and execute contracts for physicians, hospitals and other providers. You will report to the Director, Provider Contracting.

The role requires extensive managed care experience, negotiation leadership, and the ability to analyze financial impact of terms. Travel and remote work are possible with 40 hours weekly support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years hospital negotiation experience in Medicare.
• Experience leading hospital contract negotiations, amendments, renewals and value-based agreements.
• 5+ years in progressive network management with hospital contracting.
• Experience negotiating managed care contracts with hospital systems.
• Analyze and communicate financial impact of contract terms and rates.
• Interpret hospital contract language.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for hospital and health system agreements, including reimbursement, terms, amendments, renewals and value-based agreements.
• Evaluate reimbursement methodologies and financial impact of contracts.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Network Management and Operations to ensure contracts are sound.
• Communicate contract terms and reimbursement rates to providers.
• Maintain contracts and documentation within a tracking system.
• Identify and recruit providers based on network needs.
