Job summary

CarePlus Health Plans seeks a Senior Hospital Contracting Strategist to lead negotiations for hospital and provider contracts, including reimbursements and renewals. The role drives value-based agreements and analyzes financial terms.

Work with Finance, Legal, Network Management and Operations to ensure contracts are financially sound and executable, reporting to the Director, Provider Contracting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of Hospital negotiation experience in Medicare.
• Leading negotiations for hospital and health system agreements, including reimbursement, terms, amendments, renewals, and value-based agreements.
• 5+ years of progressive network management experience including hospital contracting and network administration in healthcare.
• Experience negotiating managed care contracts with Hospital systems and post-acute/physician providers.
• Analyze and communicate financial impact of contract terms and reimbursement rates.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations for hospital and health system agreements, including reimbursement, contract terms, amendments, renewals, and value-based agreements.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Network Management, Claims and Operations to ensure contracts are financially sound and operationally executable.
• Communicate contract terms and payment structures to providers.
• Analyze financial impact of contracts and terms.
• Maintain contracts and documentation within a tracking system.
• Help identify and recruit providers based on network needs.
