Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Sr. Hogan Engineer to join the Hogan application development and support team. This remote role prioritizes candidates in North Carolina, Arizona, Texas and Florida, with nationwide availability.

You will analyze, code, test, and implement enhancements to data processing systems, provide 24/7 on-call support, and collaborate with management and end users to deliver reliable banking software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance.
• OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance.
• Experience with Hogan Core Banking, Debit and Credit Cards is a plus.
• Advanced experience with COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, Easytrieve, JCL.
• Familiarity with Changeman and ServiceNow adds value.
• Ability to work under on-call rotations and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• System Enhancement - improve department systems, processes, and applications using defined specifications.
• Analysis - collect data, determine scope, time estimates, and impacts on systems.
• Business Support - provide technical support for production systems and draft technical documentation.
• Technical Expertise - participate in the software development lifecycle as a technical resource.
• On-call Support - provide 24/7 on-call support via rotations.
