Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Software Engineer Consultant to support Hogan-based customer and account conversions into bank systems and processes. This remote role may be hired in North Carolina, Arizona, Texas and Florida, and involves leading technical efforts across the conversion project lifecycle including requirements definition, development, testing, and maintenance.

The role requires experience with Hogan IDS, COBOL, JCL, and related tools, with strong analytical and mentorship

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 8+ years in Software Application Development and Maintenance
Alternative: High School Diploma or GED with 12+ years in Software Application Development and Maintenance

Responsibilities

System Enhancement - analyze data files to determine conversion approach and test outputs against specs
Business Support - provide technical support, maintain functionality for end users, lead major projects
Technical Expert - mentor and train associates, act as resource for management and teams
Business Strategy - advise on strategies aligning projects with long-term business needs
