Job summary

Optomi is seeking an experienced Hogan Software Engineer to support enterprise banking applications on a 100% remote basis (EST hours) under a W2 contract for 12 months. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and enhancing core banking systems and troubleshooting production issues to ensure performance and reliability.

You will work with Hogan Core Banking Systems (CIS, IDS, DDA, TDA, PAS, Umbrella) and ServiceNow, participate in Agile and Waterfall lifecycles, and provide on-call

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 4+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with enterprise software apps and supporting production systems.
• Hands-on with Hogan Core Banking Systems (CIS, IDS, DDA, TDA, PAS, Umbrella).
• Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow or similar IT ticketing systems.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
• Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial services organization, is seeking an experienced Hogan Software Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of mission-critical banking applications.

This individual will play a key role in supporting core banking systems, implementing system enhancements, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring application performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise software development, experience working with Hogan banking platforms, and the ability to support complex financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise banking applications and core financial systems.
• Support Hogan banking applications, including CIS, IDS, DDA, TDA, PAS, and Umbrella.
• Analyze system requirements and translate technical specifications into application enhancements.
• Design, develop, test, and implement software modifications and new functionality.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions.
• Provide ongoing production support and participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.
• Utilize ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools to track incidents, changes, and service requests.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure application functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver system improvements.
• Participate in Agile and Waterfall software development lifecycles.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of software application development and maintenance experience, OR high school diploma/GED and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise software applications.
• Hands-on experience with Hogan Core Banking Systems, including: Customer Information System (CIS), Integrated Deposits System (IDS), Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA), Time Deposit Accounts (TDA), Personal Account System (PAS), Hogan Umbrella.
• Advanced proficiency with ServiceNow or comparable IT ticketing and incident management systems.
• In-depth understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience troubleshooting production applications and resolving technical issues.
• Ability to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Technical Experience

• Experience supporting debit and credit card processing applications.
• Experience with mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and IBM z/OS.
• Background supporting high-volume, mission-critical financial services applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
