Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking a Sr. Grant Administrator to coordinate strategic operational execution of a complex grant-funded department. This role supports cross-functional collaboration across program strategy, financial management, compliance, and operations, translating program goals into budgets, systems, and processes for efficiency and accountability.

Home-based work is available. May lead a team and contribute to end-to-end grant-making and reporting, with focus on audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of meaningful experience.
• Must have strong skills in grants management and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Integrates grant requirements into program and monitors processes.
• Coordinates program budget development and facilitation with leadership to align with funder expectations.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures, analyze financial activity, provide variance reporting and reconciliation guidance.
• Coordinates work with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, development, advocacy, and IT.
• Develop and maintain internal systems, controls, and documentation for audit readiness.
• Act as the Voices technology coordinator, partnering to optimize systems supporting grantmaking and reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, external partners, and grantees.
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives and project teams.
• Contributes to operational planning for grant-making through system enhancements.
• Provide coaching and oversight to team members; may serve as team lead.
