Job summary

Percona is seeking a remote, full-time Senior Backend Software Engineer to join the PMM team and advance Percona Monitoring and Management. The role focuses on backend services, APIs, and database integrations in Go, with exposure to OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, and ClickHouse.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience with production Go systems.
• Experience designing, building, and documenting APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems and concurrency.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry concepts and observability.
• Comfortable with Linux and modern DevOps workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reliable, scalable backend services and APIs in Go.
• Build features for monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, and management of database environments.
• Work with OpenTelemetry signals: metrics, logs, and traces.
• Develop integrations with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and other databases.
• Collaborate on CI/CD, testing, and developer tooling.
