Job summary

Terracon invites you to join our Alternate Delivery organization as a Sr. Geotechnical Engineer – Bridge, Tunnel, Infrastructure. This fully remote position supports large transportation projects nationwide, providing engineering analyses, site investigations, and design recommendations.

You will lead project teams, communicate complex geotechnical concepts, review reports, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 8–11 years of experience minimum.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration required.
• Transportation experience with DOTs required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• 10+ years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering analyses, design recommendations, and reports for transportation projects.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with engineers and project managers.
• Review drawings, specifications, and field data to ensure safety and quality.
• Manage time, budget, and scope of geotechnical engineering work.
• Communicate complex geotechnical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
