Terracon Consultants, Inc. is seeking an innovative Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our Central Engineering & Delivery (CE&D) group.

In this role you will manage large geotechnical projects for our biggest clients, leveraging our cutting‑edge tools. Working remotely, you will collaborate with local engineers, subject‑matter experts, and National Account Managers across our 180‑office network to deliver consistent, high‑quality results in diverse geological settings while supporting

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering; PE license preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience managing geotechnical projects for large infrastructure clients.
• Willingness to travel nationwide for site visits and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals and cost estimates, track budgets and recommend changes.
• Assist in geotechnical field exploration using standard and innovative tools.
• Evaluate laboratory and field data for site characterization.
• Perform geotechnical engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations.
• Design and develop plans and specifications; write and review reports.
• Review drawings with construction teams to ensure plan compliance.
• Observe and inspect construction activities.
• Research and resolve design and construction problems.
• Communicate complex engineering issues to clients and project teams.
