Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a geologist to support environmental investigations and remediation projects in the Pittsburgh region. The role involves collaboration with PGs, LSRPs, and engineers to advance sites across PA/NJ/NY, providing field support, data analysis, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a geology degree, 5+ years of related experience, and a HAZWOPER certification. Ramboll offers mentoring, flexible hybrid work, and a strong inclusion culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or Geological Science.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in environmental site investigation and characterization; remediation experience is a plus.
• 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and up-to-date 8-hour refresher.
• Experience supervising drilling techniques for site investigation; working knowledge of PA/NJ/NY regulations.
• Geologic and environmental data evaluation and reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute geologic and site investigations, environmental sampling, and field tasks for remediation projects.
• Provide geologic support for remediation of soils, sediments, surface water and groundwater with various remedies.
• Coordinate and manage geologic tasks, assist in developing regulatory reports and work plans.
• Develop scopes of work and plan routine tasks like soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Geologists, and Scientists; mentor Early-Career Geological Scientists.
