Job summary

truelogic is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to join a small, highly collaborative team building a modern web application for the legal industry. You will work closely with legal professionals and external stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy complex features across frontend and backend systems.

You will lead end-to-end development, build scalable applications in TypeScript, and design relational databases while collaborating with product, design, and client teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript, including advanced language features and complex type definitions.
• Strong experience with server-side TypeScript and Node.js, including designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience with a modern frontend framework such as Svelte, SvelteKit, React, or Next.js.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL, including schema design, migrations, and query optimization.
• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker workflows, and AWS cloud deployment.
• Demonstrated use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar, with the ability to articulate their capabilities and limitations.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients in a small, autonomous team.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design, development, testing, and deployment of complex features across frontend and backend systems.
• Build scalable, maintainable applications using TypeScript across client and server, integrating RESTful APIs with Node.js.
• Develop modern, responsive user interfaces with Svelte/SvelteKit or comparable frontend frameworks.
• Design and maintain relational database schemas, migrations, and queries with attention to performance and data integrity.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based development environments, and deploy services on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for planning, coding, testing, and debugging while exercising sound judgment about their limitations.
