Job summary

Chexology is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own customer-facing problems end-to-end, with a strong focus on Rails and integrations, and a proven ability to debug across the stack. This remote role invites you to ship backend and frontend features, improve reliability, and collaborate with product and customer teams.

You’ll join a small, fast-paced engineering group in the US market, share daytime support, and mentor others as you grow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production web applications with strong full-stack scope
• Strong Ruby on Rails experience or equivalent framework with willingness to dive deep into Rails
• Excellent systems-debugging instincts and root-cause mindset
• Real integration experience: REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and vendor ecosystems
• Comfort working with relational databases (Aurora MySQL or equivalent) and writing/optimizing queries
• Customer-facing temperament with ability to communicate clearly and professionally
• Operational maturity: ownership of software post-shipment and proactive improvements
• Ability to work autonomously in a small, senior team and turn ambiguous problems into plans

Responsibilities

• Own customer-impacting issues end-to-end across the stack (Rails, DB, integrations, iOS app) and ship root-cause fixes
• Build and maintain integrations with hotel/property systems, payments, messaging, and more
• Ship new backend and web dashboard functionality with a focus on reliability and performance
• Strengthen the codebase with better diagnostics, error handling, and reduced tech debt
• Engage with customers when needed to set up integrations and ensure success
• Share daytime support rotation and learn the system by resolving real issues
• Maintain quality standards through thoughtful code review, testing, and judgment
