Job summary

RubyPlay is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the Engagement Framework frontend, coordinating with the Client Framework to deliver player-facing features across multiple games. The role focuses on stateful, event-driven design rather than UI alone, requiring strong architecture and integration skills.

You will work with a global, fully remote team to build event-driven gameplay logic, ensure backward compatibility, and drive hard bugs related to async state transitions while

Qualifications

• 5+ years with TypeScript/JavaScript, building complex stateful apps, frameworks or shared libraries.
• Deep understanding of async and event-driven systems: state transitions, race conditions, lifecycle management.
• Experience integrating frontends with backend APIs and async messaging, debugging across a large codebase.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve the Engagement Framework frontend, owning key parts of the shared library.
• Build event-driven gameplay logic: state machines, lifecycle integrations and real-time events.
• Maintain integration contracts and backward compatibility with the Client Framework across many games.
• Tackle hard bugs around async events and state transitions and refactor into reusable modules.
• Collaborate with Gaming Core, game studios, backend and Product to align technical decisions.
