Job summary

National Geographic Society is seeking a Sr. Manager, Finance Systems Operations to translate financial data into actionable insights and optimize Workday, Adaptive Planning, and Agiloft across the Finance organization.

You will partner with Finance leadership to enhance reporting, data structures, and system processes while planning and rolling out improvements. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in finance with ERP/budgeting systems and strong skills in Workday reporting, analytics, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; advanced degree a plus.
• 5+ years of finance experience with ERP and budgeting/planning systems; Workday Financials experience required.
• Experience documenting business processes and translating requirements into system specifications.

Responsibilities

• Translate financial data into actionable insights via custom Workday and Adaptive Planning reports.
• Maintain data integrity and optimize financial system operations for efficient workflows.
• Test, implement and enhance finance tools; build a long-term system roadmap.
• Collaborate with Finance and Tech teams to gather requirements and resolve issues.
• Lead onboarding and refresher training for finance systems users.
