Job summary

CBRE seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to support an industrial client, delivering accurate reporting, analyzing results, identifying trends, and providing insights for strategic decisions. You will partner on budgeting, forecasting, and planning while maintaining strong controls.

This role can be remote for US East, Central, or Mountain time zones. Key duties include monthly close, variance analysis, client billing support, and development of client-facing reports and forecasting models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; combination of education and experience considered.
• 2+ years in accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, or related finance function.
• Strong Excel with large datasets, complex formulas, and data troubleshooting.
• Experience using AI-powered tools to improve productivity and reporting.
• Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and month-end close.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packages with accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze results, investigate variances, and provide variance commentary.
• Review expenses for coding errors, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Prepare and post journal entries and reflect activity in reports.
• Monitor POs, aging items, and close open commitments accordingly.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and validation of results.
• Develop client-facing reports, variance analyses, budgets, and forecasting models.
• Collaborate on monthly client billing and ensure timely invoicing.
• Participate in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting with recommendations.
• Analyze data from multiple systems, validate data flows and reporting logic.
• Identify process improvements to enhance data quality and efficiency.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding financial results and accounting matters.
• Travel occasionally, roughly 1–2 times per year.
