Job summary

CBRE seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to support an industrial client, delivering accurate reporting, analyzing results, identifying trends, and providing insights for strategic decisions. You will partner on budgeting, forecasting, and planning while maintaining strong controls.

This role can be remote for US East, Central, or Mountain time zones. Key duties include monthly close, variance analysis, client billing support, and development of client-facing reports and forecasting models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; combination of education and experience considered.
• 2+ years in accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, or related finance function.
• Strong Excel with large datasets, complex formulas, and data troubleshooting.
• Experience using AI-powered tools to improve productivity and reporting.
• Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and month-end close.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packages with accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze results, investigate variances, and provide variance commentary.
• Review expenses for coding errors, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Prepare and post journal entries and reflect activity in reports.
• Monitor POs, aging items, and close open commitments accordingly.
• Support month-end close, reconciliations, and validation of results.
• Develop client-facing reports, variance analyses, budgets, and forecasting models.
• Collaborate on monthly client billing and ensure timely invoicing.
• Participate in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting with recommendations.
• Analyze data from multiple systems, validate data flows and reporting logic.
• Identify process improvements to enhance data quality and efficiency.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding financial results and accounting matters.
• Travel occasionally, roughly 1–2 times per year.

You'll partner with stakeholders across the business onbudgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities while helpingmaintain strong accounting and reporting controls. What You'll Do

• Prepare and review monthly financial reporting packages,ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to the client and internalstakeholders.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, andpartner with Facility Managers to research discrepancies, explain performancetrends, and develop accurate variance commentary.
• Review expenses and transactions to identify coding errors,accrual requirements, and other items requiring correction or reclassification.
• Prepare and post journal entries and ensure all financialactivity is accurately reflected in the reporting period.
• Review purchase order activity, monitor aging items, andensure open commitments are properly managed, accrued, and closed out asappropriate.
• Support month-end close activities, including accrualpreparation, financial reconciliations, and validation of financial results.
• Develop and maintain client-facing financial reports,including variance analyses, budget reports, forecasting models, and other adhoc reporting.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support monthlyclient billing activities and help ensure invoices are approved and paid in atimely manner.
• Participate in the annual budgeting process and quarterlyforecasting cycles, providing financial analysis and recommendations to supportbusiness planning.
• Analyze data from multiple systems and sources, understanddata flows and reporting logic, and validate the accuracy of financialinformation.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes,streamline workflows, and enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
• Respond to client and stakeholder inquiries regardingfinancial results, reporting, forecasts, and accounting-related matters.
• Travel occasionally, approximately 1-2 times per year, asbusiness needs require.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or arelated field preferred. In lieu of a degree, a combination of relevanteducation and experience will be considered.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis,financial reporting, or a related finance function.
• Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, includingthe ability to work with complex spreadsheets, analyze large datasets,understand formulas and reporting logic, and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
• Experience utilizing AI-powered tools to improveproductivity, reporting, analysis, and business processes.
• Experience with Adaptive or similar financial and reportingplatforms is preferred.
• Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting,forecasting, accrual accounting, and month-end close processes.
• Ability to independently reconcile financial data, identifydiscrepancies, audit your own work, and ensure the accuracy and integrity ofreporting.
• Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solvingskills with the ability to research issues, interpret data, and provideactionable recommendations.
• Ability to analyze information from multiple sources,understand data flows and system relationships, and validate the accuracy offinancial results.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level ofattention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in adeadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explainfinancial concepts and reporting results to stakeholders with varying levels offinancial expertise.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Financial Analyst position is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Financial Analyst position is $95,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
