Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer for the Diagnostics Division in a remote role covering Honolulu and Oahu, Hawaii. You will install, maintain, repair, and upgrade complex diagnostic instruments and automation systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-level issues, serve as a technical escalation point, and build strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation and automation is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and upgrade complex diagnostic instruments and automation systems.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software, and system-level issues.
• Serve as escalation point for critical customer issues and complex service situations.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication.
• Own and manage assigned territory, prioritizing service activities to meet customer needs.
• Ensure all activities comply with quality systems, regulatory standards and safety requirements.
• Document service activities, resolutions and compliance records.
• Collaborate with Sales, Applications, Support and Engineering teams to support customer success.
• Provide technical mentoring and participate in ongoing training.
