Job summary

West Fraser is seeking a senior leader to guide a team of eight field marketing professionals responsible for representing West Fraser wood products across assigned markets in the United States. The role emphasizes strategic direction, coaching, and performance management while aligning regional plans with sales and marketing objectives.

The position is remote with regular travel within the assigned region and to other locations as business needs require.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in field related to field marketing, sales, construction, building materials, or wood products.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable a team of eight field marketing professionals responsible for assigned geographic territories.
• Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance objectives aligning team work with sales and marketing goals.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance discussions, field visits, and development planning.
• Allocate territories, accounts, and workloads to support market coverage and team productivity.
• Provide oversight for regional marketing programs involving pro-dealers, retail accounts, builders, contractors, architects, engineers, and industrial customers.
• Ensure the team maintains strong customer relationships through service, follow-up, and technical support.
• Promote new and existing West Fraser products with consistent product messaging.
• Serve as senior subject matter resource for technical questions and cross-functional coordination.
• Oversee market intelligence and reporting on product usage, construction activity, customer needs, and competitive threats.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, mill operations, technical resources, HR, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve objectives.
