Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Claims Adjuster for a fully remote role serving the U.S. market. The position requires 3–5+ years of federal and workers' compensation claims handling, with focused experience in Defense Base Act and Longshore claims.

Licenses in applicable states are part of the requirements, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred. You will analyze claims exposure, coordinate with clients and claimants, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with policies and ethics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years related claims experience.
• Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are being handled.
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer experience with related claims and business software.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims exposure and decide proper course of action to resolve claims.
• Interact with all parties involved to ensure effective communication and resolution.
• Provide exceptional customer service to claimants on behalf of clients with empathy.
• Document and communicate claim activity timely and efficiently to support the claim file.
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex workers' compensation claims.
• Partner with clients to deliver innovative solutions in claims management.
• Think critically, plan, and prioritize tasks to serve clients and claimants.
