Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Senior Epidemiologist to independently execute real-world evidence initiatives within a sponsor-dedicated oncology program. The role focuses on ovarian cancer and related lung cancer studies, leveraging RWE to support early clinical development across Phases 1-3.

You will work with limited supervision in a pharmaceutical environment, planning studies, developing protocols, and delivering clear, well-documented analyses for sponsor stakeholders across time zones.

Qualifications

• PhD in Epidemiology required.
• Experience applying epidemiology and real-world evidence to Phase 1-3 clinical development programs.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience required.
• Oncology epidemiology experience, including ovarian cancer, preferred.
• Strong scientific writing, analytical, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and execute epidemiology and real-world evidence activities supporting early clinical development programs across Phases 1-3.
• Use real-world data and epidemiologic methods to describe the natural history of disease and characterize oncology disease landscapes.
• Conduct feasibility assessments to evaluate research questions, available data, study populations, endpoints, and potential study approaches.
• Develop and contribute to study protocols, analysis plans, study reports, clinical study reports, and other scientific deliverables.
• Support regulatory-grade real-world evidence studies, applying appropriate epidemiologic rigor and documentation standards.
• Provide hands-on epidemiology execution for ovarian cancer programs and contribute to lung cancer studies as assigned.
• Interpret study findings and communicate methods, assumptions, limitations, and results clearly to sponsor stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
• Manage assigned work proactively, resolve execution issues, and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal oversight.
• Work effectively within a sponsor-dedicated model, collaborating with sponsor teams across functions and time zones.
