Job summary

IQVIA is seeking an Epidemiologist to support a sponsor-dedicated inflammation program. You will independently execute real-world evidence studies using epidemiologic methods, helping to characterize disease landscapes and feasibility in Phases 1–3.

Work closely with one sponsor, gaining deep therapy knowledge while leveraging IQVIA's global expertise. The role emphasizes high-quality protocols and deliverables within a remote/home-based setting.

Qualifications

• PhD in Epidemiology is required.
• Experience applying epidemiology and real-world evidence to Phases 1–3.
• Prior pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
• Knowledge of regulatory-grade real-world evidence expectations and rigorous observational research methods.
• Experience in inflammation or a closely related therapeutic area.
• Experience conducting natural history, disease landscape, and study feasibility work using real-world data.
• Experience developing study protocols, clinical study reports, and related epidemiology deliverables.
• Proven ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned work, and execute with limited supervision.
• Strong scientific writing, analytical, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute epidemiology and real-world evidence activities supporting inflammation programs in early clinical development, including Phases 1-3.
• Use real-world data and epidemiologic methods to describe the natural history of disease and characterize inflammation disease landscapes.
• Conduct feasibility assessments to evaluate questions, data, populations, endpoints, and study approaches.
• Develop and contribute to study protocols, analysis plans, study reports, and other epidemiology deliverables.
• Support regulatory-grade real-world evidence studies with sound methods and documentation.
• Perform hands-on study execution, translating objectives into clear, timely deliverables.
• Interpret findings and communicate methods, assumptions, and results to sponsor stakeholders.
• Manage assigned work proactively and resolve issues with limited supervision.
• Collaborate with sponsor teams across functions and time zones.
