Position: Remote Senior EPIC Configuration Analyst (Grand Central and Prelude) – Full time, exempt
Summary: Build your Career. Make a Difference. Presbyterian is hiring a skilled EPIC Configuration Analyst. This position is responsible for in-depth knowledge of assigned Epic System software. This position conducts regular day‑to‑day communication, reviews software, demonstrates a deeper understanding of business operations, and works with Epic, Subject Matter Experts, and end users to tailor the system to fit the organization’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide tier‑2 support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on‑call coverage as required.
- Perform analysis to resolve application incidents, maintenance items, enhancement requests, upgrades / updates, and projects, collaborating with colleagues and across teams.
- Develop and maintain requirements/specifications and test cases for new or enhanced functionality to department applications. Ensure the test scripts are created, reviewed, and updated to reflect workflow solutions.
- Modify Epic records, tables, and master files to support the application design, additions, and changes.
- Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department policies and procedures.
- Actively participate and contribute in team and cross‑team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting records.
- Have advanced understanding of the supported application, integration, and general understanding of clinical/revenue cycle applications.
- Work independently 100% of the time.

- Support the training team by keeping trainers abreast of new functionality and system changes.
- Understand workflows, integration between application, downstream systems, and integrated workflows.
- Create new workflows in collaboration with SMEs.
- Create solutions that allow end users to be more productive and effective.
- Mentor and teach others.
- Serve as a go‑to person for team members and end users to have productive discussions on application, operations, and workflows.
- Create presentations and present to large groups with effective Q&A.
- Analyze new functionality in new releases to identify impact.
- Ensure all quality assurance processes are followed, including change management and testing efforts.
- Facilitate meetings, drive the group to next steps, and provide notes and follow‑up.
- Act as functional leader within the team, assist with change management.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for the team.
- Identify and make recommendations to operations proactively.
- Participate in strategic planning.
- Work with leadership in the assessment of projects for scoping and timelines.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: In office expected for individuals within 60 miles of Albuquerque every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Remote: Open to remote applicants in the United States, except for California, Illinois, North Dakota, New York, Ohio, Washington, and Wyoming.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of IT or business experience.
- 2 years of Epic specific experience. Six years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Epic certified in supporting application plus additional proficiency/certification/badges in a related application area.
- Grand Central AND Prelude Certifications are required.
